Municipality of Moron in Cuba, known as the city of the Rooster. It is located to the north of the province of\u00a0Ciego de \u00c1vila<\/a>\u00a0in the central region of Cuba, under a key area of vegetation and very beautiful beaches, infinitely escorted by the imposing Current of the Gulf. It\u2019s the second most populated municipality of the province and in the key area this nailed one of the biggest tourist poles of the country. It has patrimonial values that express a clear urban and territorial identity.<\/p>\n

History<\/h3>\n

Founded in 1543, three centuries before provincial capital Ciego de \u00c1vila, Moron Cuba is known island-wide as the\u00a0Ciudad del Gallo\u00a0(City of the Cockerel), for a \u2018cocky\u2019 bullying official in the colonial era who eventually got his comeuppance. The city has architecture to match its years, with more, better-preserved examples of those Ciego de \u00c1vila column-flanked facades.<\/p>\n
